Macy's Day Parade

A tradition best served with chocolate chip Bisquik pancakes: The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, or as every C-list NBC celebrity Al Roker pretends to enjoy interviewing calls it, "The Macy's Parade." Because we all love the unveiling at the end of the parade of the RED 25% OFF GIFT CARD WE GOT IN THE MAIL FOR BLACK FRIIIIDAY!!!

No but seriously, my sister and I watch the Macy's Parade every year. Live? Hell no. You think we're going to get up at 7AM on Thanksgiving morning? Plus about 92% of the parade ends up being fast-forwarded-through (also I realize I'm using a lot of percentages in this post?).

Here are my highlights from 2014: Side Show but only because we were SO pleasantly surprised by the twins's voices. Like crystal! Sesame Street's performance is always and forever will be invigorating. We had a chuckle watching Cirque du Soleil's pirate ship trampoline boat with stringy-disk-whirling things that don't seem to impress me but apparently are really hard to the point that they're Cirque Du Soleil-worthy.

But the WINNER of the parade was hands-down THE MADDEN BROTHERS. Written in all-caps because I NEVER THOUGHT I'D TYPE THOSE WORDS ever. Especially in 2014?? Anywho, their song is amazing and empowering and I called it a "miracle" in a text to Elyse today.

And you're a miracle. Yes YOU! Who's a good blog post! Who's a good widdle bloggy posty-wosty!! A DEEW DEEW DEEWWW!
